Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Administer immunizations, perform screenings, and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Coordinate health services and follow-up with off-site providers.
  • Collaborate with social work staff to obtain necessary consents and provide counseling.
  • Monitor and track cases to meet regulatory agency timeframes.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain audit review tools.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise clinic activities to ensure timely patient encounters.
  • Document vital signs, perform screenings, and administer immunizations.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during physical examinations.
  • Coordinate dental and optometry sessions for pediatric patients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes for health and dental services.
  • Participate in staff meetings and special projects as required.
  • Respond to telephone calls and provide appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Order and maintain necessary supplies and equipment for the clinic.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and RN certification required.
  • Valid RN license and updated First Aid/CPR certifications.
  • Completion of mandated courses: Infection Control and Abuse/Incident Reporting.
  • 2-3 years of experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Ability to perform screenings, administer immunizations, and collect specimens.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
