Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage an accounting team servicing hedge fund vehicles.
  • Oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor deliverables.
  • Collaborate with third-party administrators for fund operations.
  • Enhance processes for efficiency and scalability in fund servicing.
  • Support fund structuring, setup, and onboarding activities.
  • Ensure compliance with partnership agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cash positions, liquidity, and reconciliations.
  • Define and maintain operating policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support fund operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Build relationships with fund managers, administrators, and distributors.
  • Design and implement processes for fund servicing and reporting.
  • Partner with management to automate and enhance reporting systems.
  • Monitor compliance with fund agreements and regulatory filings.
  • Oversee fund administrators for accurate financial deliverables.
  • Manage accounts payable and expense allocation processes.
  • Coordinate with custodians and banks for fund operations.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams for regulatory adherence.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc tasks to support organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, with 14 years preferred.
  • Strong expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in managing compliance and regulatory filings.
  • Experience in process design and implementation for fund operations.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage external relationships.
  • Knowledge of SEC and FINRA regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
