Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic IT team responsible for managing and enhancing system infrastructure to support critical business operations.
  • Collaborate on technical strategy, analysis, and design to improve system stability and performance.
  • Maintain and enhance security measures while continuously monitoring system health and troubleshooting issues.
  • Contribute to engineering, provisioning, operations, and lifecycle management of servers and desktops.
  • Engage in disaster recovery planning and testing for desktop and server systems.
  • Provide end-user desktop support and ensure effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours and shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Install and configure servers, hardware, peripherals, and storage in alignment with operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain installation procedures and system standards documentation.
  • Perform system and security monitoring, ensuring hardware and server integrity and reviewing logs.
  • Conduct daily backup operations, verifying file system integrity and media availability.
  • Adhere to change and problem management policies, ensuring compliance with ITIL foundations.
  • Research and recommend innovative solutions for system administration tasks, focusing on automation and scalability.
  • Support virtualization technologies, including VDI and DaaS implementations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing Windows environments, preferably within an MSP setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, Linux system administration, virtualization, and scripting.
  • Knowledge of storage management, system monitoring, and patch management systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and create technical documentation.
  • Flexibility to work market hours, including early shifts starting at 5:00 AM.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent work authorization is mandatory.
