Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate on pricing and valuation processes for diverse investment portfolios.
  • Provide insights to management on portfolio valuation and investment analysis.
  • Develop and execute price verification procedures and valuation frameworks.
  • Enhance valuation processes through strategic workflow optimization.
  • Coordinate independent valuation of liquid and illiquid investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate pricing results.
  • Engage with third-party valuation providers and auditors.
  • Support fund accounting and operations teams in reconciliations.
  • Articulate portfolio pricing results and P&L drivers to senior management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and review valuation processes and policies for accuracy and fairness.
  • Perform valuation analysis using accepted approaches for diverse investments.
  • Conduct daily valuation checks and document exceptions.
  • Coordinate pricing requests and resolve disputes with brokers and third parties.
  • Review financial models for discounted cash flow and market analysis.
  • Ensure approved pricing is used in net asset value calculations.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations to optimize valuation workflows.
  • Liaise with auditors and valuation service providers during reviews.
  • Provide valuation updates and enforce valuation controls.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of valuation-specific industry experience.
  • Proficiency in valuation models including DCF and comparable company analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of financial products like derivatives and private assets.
  • Experience with software applications such as Bloomberg, Excel, and Python.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse knowledge levels.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills.
