Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the design and delivery of mechanical and plumbing systems for diverse building projects within a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Ensure design excellence, code compliance, and integration of sustainable practices in all project phases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve holistic and integrated design solutions.
  • Develop detailed construction documents using advanced BIM tools like Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct site visits for field assessments, client meetings, and construction observations.
  • Support construction administration activities, ensuring design integrity and compliance.
  • Engage in professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Research and apply engineering principles to develop feasible system solutions based on project data and client specifications.
  • Design HVAC, mechanical, heat transfer, and plumbing systems adhering to industry standards and practices.
  • Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection to meet performance goals.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants for seamless system integration into building designs.
  • Develop and coordinate construction documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Conduct site visits to assess installation progress and resolve field issues.
  • Apply sustainable design principles to enhance building performance and support certification programs.
  • Manage multiple projects, balancing technical rigor with schedule and budget expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) Registration is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD for system design and documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASHRAE, IBC, and IMC.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and lifecycle evaluation of systems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
