Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain the firm's master litigation calendar, including setting up notifications and individual attorney schedules.
- Calculate deadlines based on applicable rules and statutes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor cases, conduct research, and coordinate with vendors to obtain publicly filed documents.
- Serve and file court papers electronically and manually, adhering to court protocols.
- Collaborate with managing clerks to maintain the firm's litigation docket and respond to case team inquiries.
- Prepare customized docket reports and coordinate court services functions as needed.
- Monitor case progress, obtain decisions and orders, and communicate updates to attorneys.
- Provide general office support and maintain accurate time entries in iTimeKeep.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Arts (AA) degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in docketing and calendaring within a legal environment.
- Proficiency in CourtAlert, CompuLaw, PACER, Bloomberg, and Courtlink systems.
- Knowledge of CPLR, FRCP, and local, state, and federal court rules and procedures.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work cohesively with all levels of firm personnel and provide exceptional customer service.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and adapt to dynamic legal challenges.
- Familiarity with best practices in docketing, calendaring, and record-keeping to prevent loss prevention issues.
