Job Description

Overview

  • The Network Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop network strategies and solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical expertise in routing protocols, network architecture, and hardware/software deployment.
  • Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for minimal downtime.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization for the firm's infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in network operations.
  • Document technical resolutions and maintain knowledge management systems for future reference.
  • Support a hybrid work environment with occasional on-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design, test, and deploy network components ensuring robust and secure operations.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure to recommend improvements and enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize business impact.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for network systems and processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 network support globally.
  • Implement and manage Cisco-based network solutions within a global environment.
  • Support network automation initiatives using tools like Linux and Ansible.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience; 5 years preferred in Cisco network environments.
  • Certifications like CCNA or CCNP; CCIE is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SDWAN, QoS, BGP, EIGRP, TCP/IP concepts, and Cisco technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud networking and Palo Alto firewalls preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site presence.
