Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Fund Accountant in a dynamic investment firm, contributing to fund accounting and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments including Middle Office, Investor Relations, Compliance, and Legal for fund-related activities.
  • Oversee fund audits, tax processes, and investor reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with service providers such as fund administrators, auditors, and tax professionals.
  • Engage in special projects and ad-hoc reporting to streamline operations and enhance scalability.
  • Contribute to the post-investment lifecycle, including investment closing, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review monthly and quarterly NAVs for hedge and private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, and expense allocations for fund operations.
  • Oversee management and incentive fees, ensuring proper allocation and payment.
  • Handle investor inquiries and provide performance reporting for funds.
  • Coordinate fund audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements with service providers.
  • Participate in Cayman Fund Board meetings and address related requests.
  • Collaborate on regulatory filings such as Form ADV and Form PF.
  • Initiate process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with fund audits at a Big 4 firm.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in fund accounting, tax processes, and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for improving operational processes and scaling business functions.
