Overview
- Perform MRI procedures under radiologist direction, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
- Utilize independent judgment to execute technical procedures for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure patient safety by minimizing hazards related to equipment and procedures.
- Assess patient discomfort and coordinate with physicians for necessary interventions.
- Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate logs and service records.
- Adhere to CDC and OSHA guidelines for biomedical waste disposal.
- Maintain compliance with annual educational requirements and assigned duties.
- Operate imaging equipment following manufacturer instructions for optimal results.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform MRI imaging procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Ensure proper anatomical positioning and shielding of patients during imaging.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals for patient care.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current NYS Radiologic Technology license/registration, including injection permit.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Advanced Certification preferred).
- Minimum one year of experience in MRI imaging; two years preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Knowledge of CDC and OSHA guidelines for biomedical waste disposal.
