Overview

  • Lead the Adult Critical Care department in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement innovative care strategies and achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee nursing practices, ensuring compliance with professional standards and administrative policies.
  • Develop and enhance policies to improve patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate services delivered by the Adult Critical Care departments.
  • Coordinate nursing care activities in conformance with recognized techniques and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff and leadership to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and recommend policies to enhance care quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other disciplines to achieve patient care excellence.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Utilize advanced medical facilities and technologies to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in Critical Care; 5 years preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • CCRN and/or CNRN certifications preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies enhancing patient care quality and efficiency.
  • Experience with advanced healthcare technologies and facilities.
