Overview
- Lead and optimize accounts receivable operations across diverse revenue streams, including digital advertising, events, sponsorships, and international partnerships.
- Develop scalable AR processes, improve cash flow, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage the full AR lifecycle, including client onboarding, invoicing, collections, and reporting.
- Design systems and workflows that align with organizational growth and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior finance leadership to ensure strategic alignment and operational success.

- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes related to AR and collections.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Establish and document scalable AR policies, procedures, and client onboarding processes.
- Design invoicing workflows accommodating complexity across campaigns, sponsorships, and international clients.
- Oversee day-to-day AR operations, including invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Develop and execute collections strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce DSO.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
- Handle escalated collection issues with professionalism, balancing diplomacy and accountability.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and AR visibility.
- Deliver accurate weekly cash forecasts and monthly AR performance reports to leadership.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience managing the full AR cycle.
- Proven success reducing DSO with measurable outcomes and enhancing collection rates.
- Experience with ERP systems like Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Preferred experience in media, advertising, or events industry.
- Familiarity with CRM/revenue systems like Salesforce or Boostr is advantageous.
