Job Description

Overview

  • Lead tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities for a dynamic organization.
  • Collaborate with third-party outsourcing partners to ensure accurate tax filings.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, including deferred tax analysis.
  • Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to support compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal teams for tax planning alignment.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess organizational impacts.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation of tax workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns.
  • Facilitate timely filing of quarterly estimated tax payments.
  • Assist with tax provision calculations and reconciliations under ASC 740.
  • Conduct tax research and summarize findings for compliance purposes.
  • Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Maintain organized tax records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for tax planning alignment.
  • Assist in preparing R&D tax credits and other applicable tax credits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant tax experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tax concepts and U.S. GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software.
  • Experience with GoSystem, Onesource, or CCH Axcess is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
