Overview
- The Systems Administrator will manage and maintain network infrastructure and provide comprehensive helpdesk support.
- Ensure optimal performance of technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and VMware solutions.
- Support WAN, LAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Implement new technologies and policies to enhance business intelligence and streamline processes.
- Monitor and evaluate network and server performance, planning necessary changes to resolve issues.
- Provide helpdesk support and address user queries effectively.
- Collaborate with team members on projects and ensure successful implementation.
- Travel occasionally and work flexible hours as required by business needs.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer and maintain Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and Office 365.
- Support VMware Horizon, vSphere, and Veeam Backup and Recovery systems.
- Manage WAN, LAN, routers, switches, and firewalls, including Cisco and Netgate/pfSense devices.
- Provide support for wireless networks, VOIP systems, and MS Teams voice and video solutions.
- Design, test, and implement new technologies to improve business processes.
- Monitor network and server performance, implementing changes to optimize operations.
- Coordinate with team members on projects and ensure timely completion.
- Provide helpdesk support and resolve user issues effectively.
- Perform hardware installations and maintenance as required.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems administration; 8 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL.
- Experience with VMware solutions and Veeam Backup and Recovery.
- Knowledge of Cisco and Netgate/pfSense networking devices.
- Familiarity with Qualys, Sentinel One, Cisco Umbrella, SIEM, and MDM technologies.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights of 10-20 feet.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
