Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft and review leases, purchase agreements, financing documents, and other legal instruments for real estate transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title and survey reviews, environmental assessments, and contingency monitoring.
  • Manage closing processes, including documentation, wire transfers, and post-closing administration.
  • Assist in developer agreements, ensuring compliance and approval of conditions for disbursements.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to deliver exceptional client service and project outcomes.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and client orientation in all tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an attorney specializing in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Active MD Bar license required; VA and/or DC Bar license preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel for effective document management.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and collaboration.
