Job Description

Overview

  • Manage and scale payroll operations for a global workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies aligned with local and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to integrate payroll processes seamlessly.
  • Implement and optimize payroll systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees professionally.
  • Monitor payroll metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive enhancements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to maintain competitive payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timeliness and compliance.
  • Perform month-end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Develop payroll policies for compliance with regulations, focusing on international operations.
  • Implement payroll systems to support company growth and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across departments to align payroll processes with company objectives.
  • Ensure statutory compliance in tax filings, reporting, and audits.
  • Resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Analyze payroll data to improve processes and ensure operational excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required.
  • 7-10 years of payroll experience, preferably in fintech or technology-driven companies.
  • Extensive knowledge of US payroll regulations; experience with Indian payroll operations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems implementation and optimization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments and external partners.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Advanced certifications like CPP are preferred.
