Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the accounting organization, ensuring alignment with company strategy and operational excellence.
  • Oversee financial statement preparation, general ledger accounting, and compliance with US GAAP standards.
  • Drive process optimization, technology initiatives, and collaboration across organizational functions.
  • Manage tax planning and compliance activities at federal, state, and international levels.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support decision-making and performance optimization.
  • Mentor and develop accounting leaders, fostering a culture of engagement and accountability.
  • Build relationships with external auditors, tax partners, and financial institutions.
  • Promote organizational readiness for growth and influence at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Define and execute the accounting organization’s strategy through key initiatives.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee monthly and year-end financial closing processes and external audits.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and systems for compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead financial systems strategy and leverage technology across accounting functions.
  • Drive process improvements enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and data quality.
  • Optimize internal controls, policies, and compliance across all accounting activities.
  • Provide financial insight to support cross-functional initiatives and decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop accounting leaders, aligning objectives with company strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, including corporate accounting.
  • 4+ years of management experience, demonstrating leadership and team development skills.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion and UKG systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills and critical thinking abilities required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and optimize internal controls.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP standards and tax compliance at various levels.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with three days onsite per week.
