Overview

  • Provide essential medical support and patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Assist physicians and clinicians in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
  • Perform administrative and clinical tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Engage with patients to promote lifelong well-being and health.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and record medical histories accurately.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by licensed providers.
  • Conduct routine tests and screenings to support diagnostic processes.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of medical equipment and examination rooms.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare patients for medical examinations, including taking vital signs.
  • Record and update patient medical histories in electronic systems.
  • Administer medications and injections under physician supervision.
  • Perform routine diagnostic tests and screenings.
  • Provide wound care and change dressings as needed.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical equipment and examination rooms.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage and dietary requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Collect phlebotomy samples with precision and care.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification.
  • CPR certification and phlebotomy experience are mandatory.
  • Knowledge of medication and vaccine administration is preferred.
  • Experience with HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience metrics is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel locally as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care excellence.
  • Tuberculosis screening compliance is mandatory for patient-facing roles.
