Job Description

Overview

  • Lead business development initiatives in a dynamic professional services environment, focusing on proposal creation and strategic client engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality pitch materials and deliver impactful client presentations.
  • Establish project timelines, protocols, and win themes to enhance business development strategies.
  • Coordinate input from subject matter experts and internal resources to ensure comprehensive proposal responses.
  • Analyze client needs and compliance requirements to tailor business development materials effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information throughout business development processes.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by developing successful BD strategies and winning proposals.
  • Support professional development and well-being programs within the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct information gathering sessions with BD teams and partners to clarify requirements and approach.
  • Lead kick-off meetings to establish messaging, milestones, and core team roles.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and firm resources to compile credentials statements and pitch documents.
  • Analyze pitch requests to identify compliance requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinate with administrative functions to ensure alignment and information sharing.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize external-facing business development materials.
  • Prepare response teams for in-person client presentations.
  • Ensure high-quality client service and adherence to firm standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in business development or proposal management.
  • Preferred eight years of experience in professional services or legal environments.
  • Proficiency in pitch processes and management tools.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills under high-pressure conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and evaluation criteria for proposals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
