Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and manage vendor and subcontractor certificates of insurance, addressing deficiencies promptly.
- Collaborate with insurance brokers to obtain necessary insurance documentation.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for commercial construction projects.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on safety protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry safety standards and implement best practices.
- Support the organization in achieving safety excellence and risk management goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, risk management, construction management, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- OSHA certification required; CPR/First Aid and AED certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, workplace safety, or related fields.
- Experience in construction, hospitality, or recreation industries is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to commercial construction.
- Proven ability to manage insurance documentation and resolve deficiencies effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to lead safety initiatives and teams.
