Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the IT department's strategic and operational transformation in a hybrid work environment.
  • Drive innovation and modernization of clinical systems and digital tools.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to align IT with business goals.
  • Oversee migration of systems and databases to cloud platforms.
  • Manage cross-functional IT teams across development, infrastructure, and validation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
  • Participate in strategic planning and vendor management for IT initiatives.
  • Mentor and restructure the IT team to achieve high performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate and optimize the IT organizational structure and resource allocation.
  • Guide cloud migration strategies and recommend optimal platforms.
  • Oversee development and validation of clinical data systems and applications.
  • Direct creation of actionable insights through graphical reports and dashboards.
  • Support compliance with CFR Part 11 and GxP standards.
  • Collaborate on digital transformation and modernization of legacy systems.
  • Ensure IT integration during new client setups and system deployments.
  • Quantify and communicate IT alignment with organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven success in managing cross-functional IT teams and projects.
  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated environments.
  • Understanding of clinical trial phases, data flow, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong strategic thinking and operational execution capabilities.
  • Background in hybrid IT environments across government and commercial projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
