Overview
- Provide nursing care and support for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a non-clinical setting.
- Maintain health records and disseminate proactive health information to staff and families.
- Train staff in OSHA compliance, first aid, and medication administration support.
- Lead health and safety initiatives within the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in team meetings and annual reviews to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention as per policies and regulations.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses and non-licensed staff, ensuring proper care and compliance.
- Work collaboratively in a supportive environment to build relationships and promote health.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide training to staff on health protocols, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address health and safety concerns.
- Supervise and guide licensed practical nurses and medication administration personnel.
- Evaluate and diagnose health conditions, implementing therapeutic interventions as needed.
- Participate in annual reviews and team meetings to ensure holistic care approaches.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with developmental disabilities.
- CPR certification (training available if needed).
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and medication administration protocols.
- Strong supervisory skills to manage LPNs and non-licensed staff effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for team collaboration.
