Overview

  • Contribute to the management of private equity investments within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and oversee existing portfolio positions across diverse asset classes.
  • Engage in portfolio cash flow modeling and alternative asset allocation decisions.
  • Leverage relationships with advisors and research partners to analyze market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational practices and reporting standards.
  • Participate in mentoring investment associates and fostering professional development within the team.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making processes and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Act as lead analyst for a subset of funds and co-investments across various asset classes.
  • Conduct fundamental underwriting and due diligence for investment recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolio performance through regular reviews and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Analyze transaction documents to assess risks and value of deal structures.
  • Develop detailed scenario analyses for co-investments during underwriting and surveillance.
  • Maintain relationships with advisors, general partners, and market analysts to gather insights.
  • Provide updates to senior management on portfolio developments and market events.
  • Collaborate with accounting, legal, and reporting teams to streamline processes.
  • Mentor and guide investment associates to enhance team capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in credit or equity research, with preference for 15+ years.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including cash flow modeling.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to synthesize research into actionable insights.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and financial systems.
  • Preferred qualifications include MBA, CFA, or equivalent certifications.
  • Knowledge of alternative investment strategies such as private equity and venture capital.
  • Experience in corporate credit or equity research is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility for remote work.
