Overview
- Join a dynamic asset management firm as an Assistant Controller, contributing to financial operations and supporting investment fund management.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams, ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting.
- Engage in cash management, accounts payable functions, and monthly accounting close processes.
- Perform operational maintenance for investment funds, including capital calls, distributions, and transactional payments.
- Contribute to the preparation of NAV reporting and custodial reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage accounts payable, receivables, invoices, wires, and bank reconciliations for the management company.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly NAV reporting and fund expense payments.
- Prepare custodial reconciliations and QuickBooks entries for accurate financial tracking.
- Coordinate with external accounting firms, fund administrators, and custodians for documentation.
- Prepare capital call and distribution notices, and review K-1/tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with waterfall calculations and provide ad-hoc financial reports.
- Support the entrepreneurial environment by multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks, with strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of waterfall calculations and experience with NAV reporting.
- Exceptional communication and prioritization skills in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
