Overview
- Serve as a Senior Restructuring Paralegal, supporting complex insolvency and restructuring transactions for diverse financial institutions and corporations.
- Collaborate with a dynamic legal team to ensure efficient case management and transaction execution.
- Contribute to precedent research, drafting pleadings, and preparing exhibits for legal proceedings.
- Coordinate with external counsel, clients, and third parties to facilitate restructuring matters.
- Promote effective work practices and foster teamwork within the legal department.
- Train new paralegals and attorneys on procedures and technical aspects of restructuring cases.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial and proprietary information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct research on jurisdictions, judges, and industry precedents to support case strategies.
- Draft pleadings, proofs of claim, and prepare exhibits for legal filings and proceedings.
- Prepare and file UCC financing statements and amendments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage case files, calendars, and trial notebooks for efficient case tracking and preparation.
- Coordinate outside services and liaise with involved third parties to streamline processes.
- Train and mentor team members on department procedures and technical expertise.
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality protocols and secure sensitive information.
- Support fee application preparation and cite checking for legal documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is required.
- Minimum of six years of experience as a paralegal, with three years in restructuring.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management techniques.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle competing demands.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of UCC filings, lien searches, and legal descriptions is preferred.
- Experience with Bluebooking and cite checking for legal documentation.
