Overview
- Lead peer support services within a multidisciplinary team in a behavioral health setting.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to Peer Specialists and Advocates.
- Ensure compliance with trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care models.
- Develop and refine peer support service models and workflows.
- Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to peer staff.
- Collaborate with clinicians and other providers to integrate peer support.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of peer support services.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and manage Peer Specialists, Family Peer Advocates, and CRPAs.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for peer staff.
- Ensure peer-led interventions align with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Conduct chart reviews and audits for documentation accuracy.
- Develop policies and procedures supporting peer roles within the framework.
- Advocate for peer staff roles in team discussions and care planning.
- Educate team members on peer support principles and lived experience value.
- Address barriers to effective peer support implementation and propose solutions.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or psychology.
- LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT licensure required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in behavioral health or peer support.
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation and data reporting.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented services.
- Certified Peer Specialist or similar certification preferred.
- Experience in integrated care or community-based behavioral health programs.
- Bilingual in Spanish or other community languages preferred.
