Overview
- As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various lock systems and security equipment.
- Ensure the functionality and reliability of lock systems, including cylindrical, mortise, and rim locks.
- Perform emergency repairs and maintenance on locks and related security systems as required.
- Maintain accurate records of master key systems and hardware changes.
- Service banking equipment, including vaults and safety deposit boxes.
- Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of security equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain a professional appearance and behavior.
- Participate in required safety certifications and training programs.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair various lock systems for buildings and containers.
- Handle emergency lock repairs and replacements under urgent conditions.
- Maintain and update master key system records accurately.
- Perform scheduled cleanings and maintenance on locks, vaults, and related equipment.
- Service specialized banking equipment, ensuring operational reliability.
- Calibrate and adjust security equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay informed on company policies and industry standards.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in locksmithing are advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in locksmithing or related field; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in handling various lock systems, including Medeco High Key Systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Excellent record-keeping skills for master key systems and hardware changes.
- Ability to work on-site and respond to emergency repair situations.
