Overview

  • Lead mechanical engineering projects within a dynamic firm, ensuring innovative solutions and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage mechanical engineering projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Conduct site evaluations and assessments to inform project designs and implementations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, cost analyses, and feasibility studies for engineering projects.
  • Oversee the development of construction documents using advanced design software.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout project phases.
  • Attend and actively contribute to project meetings and design reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance during construction administration to ensure project adherence.
  • Develop and enforce technical standards and best practices within the engineering department.
  • Mentor engineering staff, fostering expertise and leadership capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in HVAC design preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering; 15 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation software like Trane Trace or Carrier HAP.
  • Experience with commercial, educational, and institutional projects in public and private sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and public bidding procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cultivate client relationships effectively.
