Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the accounting department in a hybrid work environment, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, to support organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Supervise fixed asset management and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Support audits and special projects, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee payment processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and analyze financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
  • Coordinate and manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Review and reconcile lease agreements and operational expenditures.
  • Provide financial insights and analyses to department heads to support decision-making.
  • Assist in audits, process improvements, and system upgrades to enhance efficiency.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; 10 years preferred, with leadership exposure.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and cost accounting practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Experience managing tax payments and ensuring compliance with regulations.
