Job Description

Overview

  • Lead SEC reporting processes for a prominent financial services firm preparing for public listing.
  • Collaborate with management and board members to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and oversee internal controls testing and process improvements.
  • Work closely with external auditors and advisors on financial reporting matters.
  • Provide expertise in accounting advisory for publicly traded asset management clients.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and file SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other required filings.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with executive management to align reporting with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
  • Monitor changes in SEC regulations and ensure timely compliance.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff in financial reporting practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in SEC reporting or accounting advisory.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting for publicly traded asset management clients.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls testing.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
