Overview

  • Lead and oversee project accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide strategic insights into financial performance and drive organizational growth.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering skill development and professional advancement.
  • Drive process improvements within accounting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and recommend updates to policies and procedures.
  • Support audit processes by preparing and analyzing relevant financial data.
  • Contribute to the success of the accounting department through proactive workload management and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and analyze project-related financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Monitor and report on financial metrics such as revenue, profit, and cash flow.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks in collaboration with organizational leadership.
  • Enhance systems and processes related to project accounting operations for optimal performance.
  • Communicate and enforce accounting policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Provide training and support to accounting associates, promoting team development and excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience, with eight years preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as JD Edwards and advanced analytical tools.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and cost control methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to guide and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from conceptualization to successful implementation.
