Overview

  • Contribute to the financial operations of a leading organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting practices.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine policies and procedures for optimal efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed financial statements and reports, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
  • Engage in regulatory filings and compliance tasks to uphold fiscal integrity.
  • Participate in month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support external audits by providing comprehensive documentation and insights.
  • Collaborate on intercompany charge reviews and reconciliations to maintain financial consistency.
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects, enhancing organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to update and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conduct testing for business changes and system enhancements to optimize operations.
  • Assist in external audits, providing broker-dealer records and necessary documentation.
  • Draft and review management information and financial statements for accuracy.
  • Ensure proper allocation and ledger posting of accounts payable invoices.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  • Process payments to vendors and affiliates using advanced financial systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS standards is essential.
  • Experience with SAP input and reporting is highly preferred.
  • Series 99 and Series 27 FINOP certifications required within specified timelines.
  • Familiarity with trade processing systems and enterprise systems is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with back-office support units effectively.
  • Flexibility for calls and video conferences outside regular business hours.
