Overview

  • Perform advanced MRI imaging procedures to support accurate diagnostics and patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform MRI imaging procedures independently, ensuring high-quality results for diagnostic purposes.
  • Determine optimal positioning and imaging techniques to achieve precise anatomical visualization.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to address patient needs and procedural adjustments.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks on MRI equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during procedures.
  • Participate in on-call schedules to provide timely imaging support as needed.
  • Contribute to inventory management and ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology or a related field is required.
  • Current NYS Radiologic Technology license/registration, including injection permit, is mandatory.
  • Eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification; advanced certification preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in radiologic technology, with MRI specialization.
  • Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, including CDC and OSHA guidelines for biomedical waste disposal.
