Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct daily operations of the grants and contracts unit, supervising and supporting staff effectively.
- Manage invoicing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and grant closeout processes efficiently.
- Analyze grant awards to ensure proper budgeting and accurate accounting of expenses.
- Prepare and submit financial reports in compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitor collections, ensuring timely invoicing and reconciliation within financial systems.
- Assist with audits, journal entries, and other financial projects as required.
- Collaborate with finance leadership to optimize grants strategy and operational processes.
- Provide training and guidance to staff, ensuring effective grants and contracts management practices.
- Maintain high standards of accountability and performance within the grants and contracts unit.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with 7 years preferred, ideally in nonprofit organizations.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Demonstrated management and supervisory skills with prior experience in team leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
