Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and update the firm's litigation calendar, ensuring timely notifications and compliance.
  • Calculate legal deadlines based on applicable rules and statutes.
  • File and serve court documents electronically and manually, adhering to protocols.
  • Conduct case research and coordinate with vendors for document retrieval.
  • Prepare detailed docket reports and assist in court services functions.
  • Monitor case progress and communicate updates to legal teams.
  • Collaborate with managing clerks to support litigation docket management.
  • Maintain accurate time entries and provide general office support as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal docketing and calendaring.
  • Proficiency in CourtAlert, CompuLaw, PACER, Bloomberg, and Courtlink systems.
  • Knowledge of CPLR, FRCP, and various court rules and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of personnel.
  • Willingness to adapt to dynamic legal challenges and work overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining best practices in docketing and record-keeping.
