Overview

  • Join a leading financial services firm as an Operations Associate specializing in asset-backed securities (ABS).
  • Contribute to the lifecycle management of ABS portfolios, ensuring seamless operations and accurate reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, legal teams, and administrators to optimize ABS trading and valuation processes.
  • Engage in strategic initiatives and process improvements within a dynamic and expanding operations environment.
  • Work in a hybrid model, combining on-site and remote work flexibility.
  • Utilize proprietary systems and industry tools like Intex and Bloomberg for portfolio management tasks.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support ABS portfolios, managing collateral types such as loans, CMBS, and CLOs.
  • Perform daily and monthly position reconciliations, resolving discrepancies with administrators.
  • Process month-end updates, including principal distributions and interest calculations.
  • Assist in portfolio valuation, pricing, and reporting to the Valuation Committee.
  • Collaborate on securitization deals, providing reporting and purchase support.
  • Manage trade lifecycle activities, from instrument setup to settlement resolution.
  • Coordinate cash management processes, including wire submissions and broker communications.
  • Participate in strategic projects and system functionality enhancements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required, preferably in finance or related fields.
  • 3-4+ years of middle/back-office experience, ideally within a buy-side fund.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Intex, Bloomberg, and trustee websites.
  • Knowledge of structured credit asset classes, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, and CLOs.
  • Experience with portfolio management systems like Geneva or VPM.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented demeanor.
