Job Description

Overview

  • Provide psychological services across multiple programs, including assessments, consultations, and therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design effective treatment plans for diverse developmental needs.
  • Support and supervise clinical staff pursuing advanced certifications.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions and provide individual psychotherapy.
  • Perform cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments to identify client needs.
  • Offer consultations and training to staff on neurodivergent client care strategies.
  • Enhance partnerships with internal and external organizational stakeholders.
  • Provide family and caregiver support for youth-specific strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and interpret psychological evaluations to guide treatment and educational strategies.
  • Document all therapeutic activities in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with functional supervisors and medical directors on program oversight.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff pursuing advanced certifications.
  • Run group therapy sessions addressing cognitive and developmental challenges.
  • Offer consultations and training on neurodivergent client care strategies.
  • Support families and caregivers in implementing effective strategies for youth development.
  • Enhance cross-collaborative efforts with organizational partners.

Job Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. with New York State certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience evaluating and treating adolescents with emotional disabilities.
  • Experience working with clients with IDD/ASD needs.
  • Training in neuropsychology and co-occurring mental health/substance use disorders preferred.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong documentation skills adhering to compliance standards.
  • Competence in providing clinical supervision and training to staff.
