Job Description

Overview

  • Provide bilingual medical assistance to patients, enhancing their lifelong well-being and health.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Perform administrative and clinical tasks in primary care facilities.
  • Engage with patients to ensure positive experiences and outstanding service.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems.
  • Work within defined policies while exercising discretion in prioritization and timing.
  • Participate in the company's Tuberculosis screening program as part of patient-facing responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the care team's success through proactive collaboration and communication.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Discuss symptoms with patients and obtain vital signs for clinical assessments.
  • Administer medications and vaccines, ensuring adherence to protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomy, diagnostic tests, and specimen collection.
  • Sterilize and clean medical equipment to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain examination rooms, ensuring readiness for patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers for coordinated care.
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of active certifications.
  • Follow standard policies, allowing for interpretation and independent discretion.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with a proficiency exam required.
  • Experience in medication and vaccine administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS patient experience is advantageous.
  • Value-based care experience is preferred.
  • Local travel may be required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
