Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to promote trust and mutual respect among members.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, state, and federal regulations.
  • Offer flexible scheduling to support a healthy work-life balance.

  • Provide leadership in medical decision-making and supervise NPs and PAs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform patient history and physical examinations, diagnosing and counseling on treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with professional guidelines and state statutes.
  • Evaluate patient data, including reports, labs, and diagnostic imaging, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Complete accurate chart documentation as per organizational standards.
  • Adhere to scheduling guidelines and productivity standards.
  • Participate in infection control measures and ensure compliance by support staff.
  • Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as required.
  • Maintain unrestricted medical licensure and Board Certification in specialty area.
  • Utilize continuing medical education to stay updated on evidence-based practices.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Current New York State medical license and DEA certification.
  • Board eligible or Board Certified; certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems.
  • Experience with MS Word and Outlook applications.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and professional development.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to participate in rotating on-call schedules and weekend duties.
