Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery within surgical services.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure effective operational management.
  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving service excellence and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across departments and the organization.
  • Promote staff development and maintain clinical competence within the team.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and departmental culture enhancement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of assigned areas to ensure safe patient care delivery.
  • Oversee human, fiscal, and other resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Title 22 and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to maintain clinical proficiency.
  • Analyze and address operational challenges to improve efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Current California RN License and BLS provider card mandatory.
  • National certification in clinical area of expertise preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance and supervisory practices.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staff and lead departmental culture change effectively.
