Job Description

Overview

  • Manage grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies.
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and billing packages for funding sources.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with teams to meet project deadlines and audit requirements.
  • Provide forecasts and analyses for programs and funding opportunities.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance, invoicing, and reporting activities.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for generating and analyzing financial reports.
  • Support year-end audits and financial reviews for the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize contract registration and closeout processes efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit vouchers and billing packages to funders.
  • Ensure reimbursements align with contract amounts and ledger accounts.
  • Respond to funder requests and escalate critical issues promptly.
  • Create detailed schedules and reports for financial tracking.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with FP&A for budget narratives and new budget preparations.
  • Analyze large datasets using advanced Excel techniques.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations and FE accounting software preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, including flexibility for extended hours during peak times.
