Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a vital member of the healthcare team, ensuring seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Perform both administrative and clinical tasks to support high-quality healthcare delivery.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and perform diagnostic procedures with precision and care.
  • Maintain examination rooms and medical equipment to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records systems.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and professional environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient intake, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and screenings, documenting results for physician review.
  • Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with certification guidelines.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments, ensuring readiness and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist in operational and customer service tasks to support clinic efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
  • CPR certification required; compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant; additional experience advantageous.
  • Proficiency in medication administration, vaccine delivery, and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in an on-site setting.
