Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct patient intake, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and screenings, documenting results for physician review.
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with certification guidelines.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments, ensuring readiness and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in operational and customer service tasks to support clinic efficiency.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
- CPR certification required; compliance with Tuberculosis screening requirements mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant; additional experience advantageous.
- Proficiency in medication administration, vaccine delivery, and phlebotomy procedures.
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in an on-site setting.
