Overview
- Act as a technical expert, guiding clients through solutions tailored to their needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals and estimates.
- Provide specialized knowledge in hardware, access control systems, and locksmithing to ensure project success.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and site evaluations to validate project feasibility.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and risk mitigation to enhance project profitability.
- Support the standardization and improvement of estimating tools and processes.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and vendor communications for transparency.
- Contribute technical expertise to ensure alignment with client expectations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assess client needs to develop tailored technical solutions and validate project scopes.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates using advanced tools and vendor pricing.
- Create professional proposals and quotes for RFIs, RFPs, and client requests.
- Source pricing from manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure proposal accuracy and readiness.
- Review shop drawings and hardware schedules for compliance and precision.
- Identify scope gaps and project risks to enhance competitive positioning.
- Support process improvements and standardization of estimating tools and templates.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in hardware, doors, locksmithing, and access control systems.
- Strong skills in MS Office and familiarity with estimating software.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors and teams.
