Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage nursing staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage for surgical procedures and patient care.
- Develop and implement policies to enhance patient care quality and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards, including AAAHC requirements.
- Coordinate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor patient outcomes and lead continuous improvement initiatives to elevate care standards.
- Provide support in the operating room and assist during breaks as needed, ensuring uninterrupted care.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain AAAHC accreditation, driving organizational excellence.
- Facilitate effective communication among staff and stakeholders, promoting collaboration and shared goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred for leadership roles.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in surgical or critical care settings.
- Proven experience in leadership roles, such as Charge Nurse or Nursing Director.
- Comprehensive understanding of surgical processes and operating room dynamics.
- Knowledge of AAAHC accreditation processes and healthcare compliance standards.
