Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and estate tax returns, including multi-state filings.
- Analyze and review tax projections and quarterly estimates prepared by team members.
- Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
- Respond to inquiries and audits from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and document findings to support decision-making.
- Prepare client meeting packages and provide strategic insights to enhance client relationships.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including partners and business managers.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with a strong academic record.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience, with 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software such as CCH Axcess.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial statement analysis.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
