Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Operate imaging systems, including gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and addressing any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to guarantee accurate results.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about nuclear medicine procedures and address any concerns.
- Ensure adherence to NMTCB, ARRT, NRC, HIPAA, and state-specific regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field is required.
- Certification as CNMT by NMTCB or in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT is mandatory.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.
- State licensure for nuclear medicine technology, if applicable, must be obtained.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in nuclear medicine technology is required.
- Preferred experience with advanced imaging systems such as SPECT, PET, or hybrid modalities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and teams.
