Job Description

Overview

  • Support attorneys and professionals in diverse legal practice areas with administrative expertise.
  • Prepare, revise, and manage legal documents, contracts, and correspondence accurately.
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain electronic records and document workflows for efficient organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal court filing requirements.
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients and team members.
  • Work on-site with a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and revise legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with precision.
  • File and record legal documents and financing statements in compliance with regulations.
  • Manage state and federal court filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys and professionals.
  • Maintain electronic records and document management systems efficiently.
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients and team members.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Utilize legal time and billing systems to manage administrative tasks effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum two years of transactional legal assistant experience; five years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Federal and South Carolina State Court filing systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic workflow systems and legal time and billing systems.
  • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated and self-directed individual with problem-solving capabilities.
