Overview

  • Support physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.

  • Contribute to inventory management by monitoring and replenishing medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare patients for procedures and exams, ensuring comfort and readiness.
  • Accurately document patient history, vital signs, and relevant health information.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Educate patients about their health conditions and prescribed treatments.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment to ensure safety.
  • Monitor and restock medical supplies to support seamless healthcare delivery.
  • Identify and report issues affecting patient care quality to supervisors.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 4 years preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Experience in healthcare settings; familiarity with FQHC operations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in additional languages, such as Creole, is preferred.
