Overview

  • Serve as a Patient Service Representative in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring exceptional patient support and streamlined service delivery.
  • Assist patients with scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and payment arrangements to enhance their healthcare experience.
  • Educate uninsured individuals about available insurance programs and facilitate their enrollment process efficiently.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and participate in outreach events to promote healthcare access and awareness.
  • Provide detailed guidance on insurance eligibility, requirements, and benefits to individuals and families.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of patient interactions and enrollment outcomes for reporting purposes.
  • Stay updated on healthcare developments through training sessions and seminars to enhance service quality.
  • Contribute to a patient-focused team dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Educate community members about insurance options and assist with enrollment through user-friendly online platforms.
  • Facilitate patient enrollment in programs such as Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Managed Care Plans.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on insurance eligibility, income requirements, and plan renewals.
  • Conduct informative seminars for individuals, families, and small businesses regarding insurance plans and benefits.
  • Assist patients with grievances, complaints, or inquiries about their health coverage effectively.
  • Promote healthcare services and distribute informational materials at community events and health fairs.
  • Travel to various work sites and adapt to diverse environments to meet outreach goals.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance knowledge of insurance programs and services.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare settings or contact center operations.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records software (eCW) preferred.
  • Experience enrolling patients in ACA, Medicaid, and other entitlement programs preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for patient interaction.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for outreach events as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software tools.
