Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Educate community members about insurance options and assist with enrollment through user-friendly online platforms.
- Facilitate patient enrollment in programs such as Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Managed Care Plans.
- Provide comprehensive guidance on insurance eligibility, income requirements, and plan renewals.
- Conduct informative seminars for individuals, families, and small businesses regarding insurance plans and benefits.
- Assist patients with grievances, complaints, or inquiries about their health coverage effectively.
- Promote healthcare services and distribute informational materials at community events and health fairs.
- Travel to various work sites and adapt to diverse environments to meet outreach goals.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance knowledge of insurance programs and services.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare settings or contact center operations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records software (eCW) preferred.
- Experience enrolling patients in ACA, Medicaid, and other entitlement programs preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for patient interaction.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for outreach events as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software tools.
