Overview
- Lead and manage cash application operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and payment processing.

- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, contributing to comprehensive financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage daily cash application processes, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments to accounts.
- Oversee receipt intake from diverse sources, including lockbox, ACH, wire, manual checks, and portals.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare journal entries and address payment discrepancies effectively.
- Monitor unapplied cash and drive timely resolutions to maintain financial accuracy.
- Partner with Lease Administration, Treasury, Accounting, and IT teams to optimize workflows and systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support the implementation of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to payment activity and portal support.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- 7+ years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or accounting.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience, including managing third-party resources, preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as MRI, Yardi, or JD Edwards is preferred.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of real estate finance, including lease structures and billing cycles, is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret complex agreements and apply payments accurately.
