Overview

  • Drive financial reporting accuracy and compliance for investment companies, ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards and client expectations.
  • Manage and strengthen client relationships, offering expert guidance on private equity accounting and reporting processes.
  • Analyze investment legal documentation and source documents to ensure precise accounting practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to facilitate discussions and manage documentation effectively.
  • Oversee capital structures, calls, distributions, and valuation activities for client investments.
  • Lead and develop a team to deliver high-quality services efficiently and on schedule.
  • Implement and document process automation to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work remotely, utilizing advanced technology to support client needs and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards for investment companies.
  • Manage and address client inquiries, providing expert accounting guidance and solutions.
  • Review and analyze investment capital structures and related accounting data requirements.
  • Oversee and validate capital calls, distributions, and valuation activities for investments.
  • Prepare and review client reports and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct technical research and apply US GAAP to complex accounting issues.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure high-quality output and productivity.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to optimize system capabilities and implement best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in private equity accounting or related field.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience with expertise in fund administration and investment accounting.
  • Proficiency in applying US GAAP standards for investment companies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Ability to work remotely and leverage advanced technology for operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of private equity investment structures and reporting requirements.
